GRIND (SF) URGE: THE UNDERWEAR PARTY
DJ GRIND is one of the most sought-after up-and-coming DJs on the gay circuit. STEVE SIDEWALK (NYC / NJ) SAND BLAST TEA DANCE
Sandblast is proud to welcome award-winning pop DJ Steve Sidewalk for the third year in a row. Sidewalk has held residencies at many of NYC's mega clubs since 1998. Sidewalk has claimed Get Out Magazine's 'Best DJ of the Year' award in 2011. DJ Susan Levine has been making noise on the gay scene in NYC and on Fire Island since 2005. She currently DJs for the new HARDWARE BAR in Hell's K itchen every other Friday, Boots and Saddle Fridays and Mondays with guest residencies at Splash, G Lounge, Stonewall and Vlada, bringing her own twist to pop dance music.
On Fire Island she has been Cherry's on the Bay's resident DJ since 2006 and at Sip 'N Twirl in The Pines since 2008. Levine is well known on the women's scene. She has been the women's pier dance DJ three times since 2009 and at Sand Blast in 2011 and 2012, winning "Best Dance DJ" this year by GO Magazine for the "Reader's Nightlife Awards." Corey Craig’s award-winning signature mix of Disco House, Electro Funk and updated classics cements his position as one of the hottest most sought after new DJ’s across the globe. NINA FLOWERS DEEP BLUE DANCE PARTY
DJ NINA FLOWERS (AKA Jorge Luis Flores Sanchez) brings a triple threat of talent to venues across the globe. Be it his infectious understanding of how to bring music alive on the dance floor, as a DJ and producer; a powerfully engaging connection to audiences as a drag performer, Nina Flowers; and as a makeup artist with skills that can't be matched by none; he continues to amaze audiences world wide.
Jorge was born in Puerto Rico and began his career as a drag performer in 1993, with his creation of Nina Flowers. Her debut on National television was in 2009 on RuPaul's Drag Race, this was followed with an on air appearance on RuPaul's Drag U in 2011. Later in 2013, as a fan favorite she returned by appearing on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Today Jorge continues to enthrall audiences across the U.S. and beyond, both as DJ and performer. JAMES ANTHONY RIDE: GODS OF THE SEA
This dynamic, international DJ and remixer has spent a better part of his life bringing music to the masses. James got his first big break working in radio- at the legendary dance station WKTU in New York City. Within weeks of being hired, at the young age of 21, he quickly became the youngest mixshow DJ on New York radio. His hugely popular “Freestyle Free For All” and “Free Ride at 5” mixshows, running concurrently since 2003, have been mainstays to millions of radio listeners.
Praised by clubgoes, promoters, club managers and his music industry peers, James has shown a tremendous amount of versatility in the DJ booth and is quickly becoming one of the most sought after DJ’s in both the gay and straight club markets. NANDO SUNSET AT THE POOL
Originally from San Juan Puerto Rico, Nando’s sound ranges from top 40 and electro to progressive house and tribal. He began working in DC which eventually led him around the country and is currently spinning at clubs and bars throughout NYC. Nando’s musical style is inspired by the great dj's from around the world from the likes of darker Swedish House Mafia, Peter Rauhofer, Paulo, Danny Verde, Eddie Martinez, Tommy Love, Robert Belli, Jr Loppez and Dief all the way to high energy and more commercial artists like Corey Craig, Freemasons, Cosmic Dawn, Seamus Haji, Hector Fonseca, Wideboys, Edson Pride, Dave Aude, Richard Cutmore & Bob Sinclar among many many others. MICK HALE SAND BLAST DRAG RACE
Mick Hale is currently a resident DJ at PARADISE Niteclub & Georgie's Bar; both located rite here in Asbury Park. In 2013 Mick also spun for thousands on RSVP's Gay Caribbean Cruise in February, and as far north as WAYLA Bar in Toronto, in May. Mick's also the go-to DJ for NJ's biggest gay-rights group, Garden State Equality, having worked multiple GSE fundraisers & events since 2009. He also previously presented "Disco Ice Cream" at last year's Sand Blast.
Mick was also recently in the Top 10 of GayInternetRadio's "Are You the Next Circuit DJ" contest and a featured guest DJ on Fresh-Radio-UK. Hale has been DJ-ing in the NYC area at dozens of venues since the early 90's and continues to release original electro music as well as remixes of other artists.
